Grant Couture

In 1999 Grant founded The Wandering Yogi in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, B.C. He currently studies under the guidance of Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves through their Shadow School of Hatha Yoga.

Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996. He was drafted to the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League when he was 17 years old. Grant went on to University Hockey where he played for the National and Regional Championship hockey team.

After graduating from U of A, Grant worked as an Exploration Geologist in various parts of Northern Canada. In 1991 he received an MSc Mineral Exploration from Queens University in Kingston. Until 1998, he traveled and worked in geology throughout the world exploring for gold and precious metal deposits.

Steve Ilg, www.wholisticfitness.com, who Outside Magazine considered to be 'the fittest human on Earth', trained Grant as a Wholistic Fitness Teacher from 1996 to 2002. Under Steve's direct guidance he learned about Strength Training, Yoga, Aimawa, Chinese Herbs, Native American Tradition, Bodywork, Buddhist Teachings, and Meditation. Through Tom Brown Jr. (Wilderness Survival and Tracker School) and Malcolm Ringwalt (Earth-Heart Institute of Vision and Healing), Grant learned Questing and its various manifestations and Quest Protection. He has also taken teacher trainings with Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, Ifat Erez, and Donna Farhi.

Radhasri

Radhasri (Raad-ha-shree) (Rhonda Fogel) has been the coordinator of The Wandering Yogi since 2000 and has been a certified Yoga Teacher since 1998. She is a dedicated student of Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra.

Paramahansa Niranjanananda Saraswati (successor to Satyananda Yoga) gave her spiritual name to her in India, October 2002.

She has drawn inspiration from and honors the teachings of Donna Farhi and Ana Forrest, both of whom she has completed teacher trainings with. She has also taken teacher trainings with Ifat Erez and Baron Baptiste.

Since April 2004 she has been studying solely under the guidance of Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves of the Shadow School of Hatha Yoga and is currently in a 3 year teacher training with them.

Radhasri is available for personal consultations and in addition to her public courses, she offers 1 year individualized programs.
